Kate & CHEWIE

My world around horses changed when you helped me realise that it’s not about ‘ being brave on a naughty horse’ but learning tools to ride and stay safe and let go of the pressure on the horse so he could relax and move. ‘Fear is at the end of knowledge’ you said.

Lacking confidence was knowing that you were potentially in danger and not knowing what to do about it! Or not knowing how you are in dangerous spot in the first place by not understanding the horse.

So going on a journey of teaching the horse coping skills and learning additional skills the horse understood from in the saddle so that knowledge gave confidence, reducing stress for both!

Horses aren’t naughty. I learnt to drop the ego or fear and listen. And if nervous work through it, or perhaps just don’t do it.

Don’t set yourself up to fail this is meant to be fun and it’s not fair on the horse.
